Far Cry 4 was Cliff Martinez’s first game soundtrack and he brought on composer Jeff Rona to collaborate with him on the score. The first of which was a trailer for the game – a live-action trailer film in Nepal – scored with Asian percussion instruments, wind instruments, drums, synths, and more.
The music was in two layers of intensity to help ante-up the action when the player is in the midst of the haze of battle. Far Cry 4 went on the win a prestigious BAFTA Games Award for Best Music! It was a thrill to be included in the creation of an amazing soundtrack for game that was such a monumental development achievement.
