QUANTAAR is a first of its kind fast paced multiplayer VR Party Brawler where the player chooses from class-based heroes, each with different skills and abilities, to battle in thrilling matches. It is the fourth game from Kaohsiung based developer, Pumpkin VR. Pumpkin VR wanted music that highlighted each hero with unique abilities and potential and QUANTAAR’s special characteristics for the various arenas that make every match unpredictable and exciting. The soundtrack covers an array of genres including modern electronic, rock, and hybrid orchestral music.
In addition to composing the music for the battle arenas, Emperia Sound and Music also produced two original songs for the game: Limitless by dorsia, Cody Matthew Johnson & Daniel “Voicians” Voicians (Mau5trap, Monstercat) featuring artists Matilda Stray and video game music and nerdcore rapper Omega Sparx. The song was released ahead of QUANTAAR’s open alpha test on Decca Records US and garnered a nomination at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Best Original Song – Video Game in 2021.
Clairty, the second song and single from QUANTAAR, by doria, Cody Matthew Johnson, Alec Justice and Matilda Stray, was nominated for a Hollywood Musc in Media Award the following year in 2022 for Best Original Song – Video Game.
